Welcome to my miniature world. I started my garden about a year ago after my mom secretly planted some small plants and placed a little troll in my garden while I was at work. I named him Todd and my obsession began, but this was only the beginning.
This is the first picture of my garden. Continue on and see what happened!
I couldn't wait for the snow to melt so I could begin to build what I had in my mind.
Since then my little garden has become an obsession and I am always looking for a rock, stick, pinecone, or anything else I can find to add. I created houses from tree stumps and moss. My mom began learning about ferrocement faux bois and we started creating houses and buildings from cement. The darkest little hose in the middle of this picture is made from cement.
My mom built the barn, chicken coop, garden shed and the outhouse from cement board then we finished them with a special Portland cement mixture. They will probably last longer than anything else in the garden. I also put in a lot of solar lights along the road. The little town lights up at night.
I made the pond from polymer clay and resin and there are clay koi fish in the water.
This is the produce market. I bought the crates and created all the fruits and vegetables from polymer clay. I made a mold from a rabbit I already had and made a bunch more. I used an artificial plant for the crops growing, putting a wire into each piece so that they would not blow away.
I love the farm. I found the tractors at a hobby store and the animals at Toys R Us.
Can you see the outhouse in the background?
I think he got caught with his pants down!
The plants are growing so fast now that they are taking over the pig pen.
I'll have to do some pruning soon.
I'll have to do some pruning soon.
I made a mold of the little teeny tiny gnomes and they multiplied.
I ran out of room so I expanded to the other side of my garden. I still have a lot of work to do on this side so I will continue to post pictures of the progress.
You can see Todd on the left side of the picture. My husband will move him around and I need to search the whole garden to find him. He's always visiting a neighbor or just walking down the road. It makes me laugh when I see where he went! I really am not crazy, just having fun with this.
I made this stump from cement.
Then I added these five guys with burgers and fries. I made the table and all the food from polymer clay and bought the gnomes. There are burgers, fries, pickles, watermelon and beer.
The weather was good to my garden and the plants thrived. Lots of trimming going on now.
Those raccoons better be careful!
Todd stops by to have a burger every now and then!
Todd likes the chickens!
